The Owl & The Dog story deals with the loss of a loved one, something we sadly all have to experience at some point.

Narrated by a wise old Owl, and based on our experience with the loss of a beloved member of our family, Sparkle, a yellow Labrador. She was much loved and grew up with our children and their friends. Sadly, she passed away, but did so with such dignity that the experience, devastating as it was at the time, was also hugely inspiring.

The Owl's rhyming stories aim to develop the next generation of children to be more ecologically aware than the last and instil the foundations of challenges that life may throw at them later down the line. In our educational books, we want to tackle the big issues that will impact the lives of children, whether they are ecological or emotional.

Love and loss are part of the inevitable great cycle of life. We hope this story will help our little readers and their families become better able to cope.
